Axxess is a healthcare technology company with roots firmly embedded in consulting. The company was established in 2007 as a consulting firm specialized in the home healthcare industry. Working with home health agency start-ups and others making the transition from paper- based to electronic medical records (EMR), Axxess built expertise in the areas of compliance, billing and reporting.
In its role as consultant, Axxess identified an unmet need in the industry for technology that is comprehensive, user friendly and scalable. The company assembled a multi-disciplinary team of technology experts, home health agency veterans and home health nurses. This team developed proprietary, web-based software and introduced the groundbreaking AgencyCore™ platform in early 2011. In 2014, the company became the first and only one in its industry to offer a device-agnostic mobile app.
In order to ensure the company’s ability to truly understand the needs of customers (agencies) and end users (medical professionals), all Axxess employees bring a minimum of five years experience in their field, within the home health industry.
Axxess is the only home health software provider accredited by the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association), and is a member of HL7 (Health Level Seven International, the global authority on standards for interoperability of health information technology).
Axxess is a member of the Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation (AHHQI), the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC), and major state associations nationwide.
