Joe Murtaugh is an accomplished sales and marketing executive with a record of success in sales, business retention and sales management in the health insurance, medical services and human resources consulting fields.  Over 37 years' experience working with small and mid-size employers, benefit consultants, brokers and fortune 500 companies.  Extensive background in the consultative sales process; identifying customer needs, developing innovative strategies and implementing creative solutions.

Joe currently serves as a Senior Healthcare Sales Advisor to several companies in the healthcare benefits space including Recuro Health, Benefit Mall Self-Funded Division, Kindly Human and Aevitas.  Previously, he held positions as the Director of Sales and Account Management at Baylor Scott & While Health Plan, Senior Strategic Account Executive at Kaiser Permanente, Founder and President of Murtaugh & Associates, Consulting Account Executive with Hewit Associates, EVP of Sales at TelaDoc Medical Services and National Account Sales Executive with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas. 

Joe graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  He served as an Intelligence officer in the US Air Force Reserve and retired after a 22-year career.  He is active in the employee benefits business community, his church and helping his wife of 41 years, Lydia, babysit their new granddaughter.  Joe enjoys supporting his favorite teams: the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the TCU Horned Frogs, the Dallas Mavericks and the Texas Rangers.
